Currently in Guatemala reflecting on all of the things that have transpired over the last few weeks. The new collection is finally out in the world, what a wonderful feeling that is. We’re doing a huge end of summer sale Aiyah (eye-YAH) • Philly Jewelry Store until September 7th and much of the days leading up to my trip were spent prepping for that (there’s some really good stuff on sale rn).

I did a jade cutting workshop and made an oval cabochon out of purple jade. That will absolutely be getting set once I’m home and back in the studio. I hiked a volcano and thought I was going to die (plot twist- I didn’t). And I still have more time in this beautiful country before I head back to my country, Philadelphia.

If you’ve been trying to reach me, apologies. Service is spotty, but I’ll get back to you as soon as I can.

In the meantime, go shop the sale Aiyah (eye-YAH) • Philly Jewelry Store and check out my new work if you haven’t yet 🩷

Thank you to everyone who shopped, shared, sent a message, or took the time to look through the new fine by ren collection 🥲

Putting new work out into the world always feels a little vulnerable, so seeing it received with so much love really means a lot.

And if you’ve had your eye on something, there are still some really special pieces waiting for their person. You can view them online or in store Aiyah (eye-YAH) • Philly Jewelry Store, we’re open Thursday to Sunday every week!

To be honest, I’m juggling more now than I ever have before, and I wouldn’t be able to keep making jewelry without leaning on my team.

Erin ✨ Philly Photographer & Julia Soniat Photography directed, shot, and edited our collection photoshoot in the speediest and most skilled fashion. All while making me feel comfortable in front of a camera when that’s definitely not my comfort zone. And if you’ve been to Aiyah (eye-YAH) • Philly Jewelry Store lately, you’ll have met Sarah Ryan who is our fearless leader in all things retail and keeps everything flowing so I can be in a jewelry bench bubble.

Many of these pieces were assembled and finished by Kya Makeda Parris my production assistant. While assembling our mixed metal sapphire chains and bracelets, she managed the chaos that was keeping track of which chain goes with what and where and with these stones and that clasp and this one needs to be soldered and that one needs to be polished and the other is in the tumbler and etc..
Having her here gives me space to get these ideas out of my head and into metal, something that can feel anything but straightforward. She really did a lot and did it well. It’s so fun watching her skills in the studio grow.

& all of them listened to me yap about design ideas and decision dilemmas, gemstones, and works in progress. They weighed in on their favorites pieces and were so genuinely supportive and excited. Working with a bunch of true gems and professionals (and baddies).

Nine rings. New necklaces & bracelets. Diamonds, sapphires, spinels, garnet.

Some of these stones have been sitting with me for a while and others I immediately knew what to do with as soon as I saw them.

It’s fun to let the materials lead a little. Playing with metal, wax, color, proportion, shape, and silhouettes until it all feels right.

Join us tomorrow Aiyah (eye-YAH) • Philly Jewelry Store from 11am to 7pm for a collection preview complete with complimentary drinks all day long.

Everything launches this Sunday, August 23rd.

2pm EST • newsletter subscriber early access
3pm EST • public access + in-store shopping

I have been quietly working on new pieces for fine by ren over the last several months. There was no deadline, no goal, no pressure. I wanted to create when it felt right, play, and move through the meditation that is jewelry making without any constraints.

I made more pieces than I thought I would which I think is a testament to how much fun I was having. My trip to Tucson earlier this year was certainly a source of inspiration. I brought back so many good gems that were screaminggg to be set in gold. So, I listened, and I’m so happy with them all.

I’ll be sharing more sneak peeks over the coming weeks. Subscribe to our newsletter or my new substack for more BTS/first looks at the new collection. Link in bio for both. Stay tuned for a release date…
