African Memory Beads by Suzette Strips of paper are made into beads to make jewelry keepsakes from such things as your child's high school graduation program or even coloring pages!

Handmade beads are rolled from recycled paper and made into jewelry pieces. I learned about this craft while traveling in Africa in Mar/April 2012. Beadrolling can be a means of earning a living for impoverished women in countries such as Uganda. My beads have a distinctly American flair with brightly colored embellishments. Why "memory" beads?
