Hi I am Samm the owner and founder of Bear's Bites and an Certified Animal Nutritionist.
That means I can help you get your pet on a species appropriate diet, I can help you with elimination diets to figure out food sensitives, I can help you with all natural treats for your pups, I can educate you on how to feed your pup at home, I can educate you on how to make your kibble healthier for your pet and what is going on in the world of pet nutrition, and much more.
You know what I can also tell you? When you should go see one of the following professions that I am not. I can normally refer you to a few as I do work with many of them.
What I am not:
Veterinarian - many vets have educated themselves in animal nutrition. There are many on the holistic side.
Veterinarian specialist
Trainer
Animal behaviorist
Groomer
Daycare specialist
Dog walker
Rescue volunteer/Rescue employee
Shelter employee/volunteer
Do you know what all of these people have in common? They are not Animal Nutritionists.
Does this mean I do not have any knowledge in these fields and that these professions don't have knowledge in the nutrition field, NO it does not mean that. I have a lot of knowledge in many of these fields but it is not my profession.
All of these professions work together in the animal world just like the do in the people world. If you have a heart condition you see a cardiologist not your general practitioner. If you are having food sensitives you see a nutritionist and an allergist not your GP. If I want my hair styled I go to a cosmetologist not a nutritionist, yes nutrition can effect pets hair and skin just like it can ours. Groomers and nutritionist do work together.
When we all work together we can help your pets be the healthiest, happiest and live a longer life.
No one can know everything.
