This is Takara — one of my favorite pieces I’ve designed from my Topographical Series.

It started with a beautiful 3.42 carat oval blue zircon that I just had to build something special around. I set it in 18 karat yellow gold with these layered, topographical details that give it so much depth. There are pavé white diamonds hidden throughout — 1.65 carats — and a large natural black pearl anchoring the bottom.

Every angle gives you something new to discover. That’s what I love about this piece.

The Zoe Gold Solitaire Lab Diamond Ring

The Zoe is one of my favorite solitaire styles — simple, clean, and it features the diamond. This one is a 2 carat round brilliant lab diamond, F color, VVS1 clarity, so it’s about as bright and clear as they come. Set in 14 karat yellow gold with a bezel setting, which I love because it wraps the stone in a smooth edge of gold and gives the whole ring a really polished, classic look.

Congratulations to Clare and Cam on their engagement!

This one is close to my heart. Clare is the daughter of our own Moira, who has been part of the Orion family for 15 years — so when Cam snuck out of Manhattan to come design Clare’s ring with us, it was personal from the very first sketch.

Cam wanted this to be a complete surprise for Clare and it was!! We sat down with Cam and walked him through the whole process — how to read a GIA report, how to look at a diamond under the microscope, and how to use our Diamond Selector Tool to compare sizes and shapes side by side until he found the perfect stone! Clare’s twin sister Leah joined us on FaceTime so she could help guide the design and make sure every detail was something Clare would love.

This is what I love most about what I do — sitting down with people, taking the time, and helping them build something that means everything to them. No rushing. No pressure. Just good work and good company.

And the proposal? Cam pulled it off at one of their favorite spots in Manhattan, surrounded by family and friends.

There’s something really special about helping a couple create rings that feel completely like them.

We had so much fun working through the details of this set together - from finding the right salt and pepper diamond to designing rings that felt personal, comfortable, and unique.

I especially love the little details in the finished bands and how beautifully the rings work together. Simple, meaningful, and made to be worn every day.
