Truth Guitars – Western Heritage Line
In 1993 I studied with world renowned Luthier Brad Nickerson, in Easthampton Ma, while I attended Hampshire College in Amherst Ma. For years before playing with members of each band I was a guitar tech for the Gregg Allman Band and Jefferson Starship. Thus, performance, playability, consistency, tone and reliability are the paramount concerns with building ea
ch guitar, customization and the story comes after making each instrument a true player. Truth Guitars was born from a rekindled passion, necessity and from absorbing the environment I was living in. The guitars are being built in Historic Jerome Az. Jerome is a town rich with history stemming from a colorful past of pioneers, outlaws and miners. It only made sense that I paired with the Western Heritage Furniture Co. learned from the many decades worth of experiences and from those characters that have been long time Jerome residents. Incorporating elements, material, and stories from this Arizona mountain town into each guitar became that renewed passion of mine. I paired up with International Artist and TV Personality Tim McClellen. He taught me the copper art and leatherwork. Then there is Noah Pfeiffer a well known Southwestern Silversmith, artist and Jewelry maker. Noah does all of the silver, aluminum and turquoise work on each guitar. The latest ‘Copper Custom’ has 6.6 ounces of silver accents. Next each pickup is hand wound to the customers desire by my cousin Scott Stonewall Miller in New Hampshire (Stonewall Pickups).
