The mother of all emeralds. The Fura emerald crystal is among the largest in the world. Weighing over 11,000 carats (almost five pounds), it was mined in Muzo, Colombia, a locale legendary for high-quality emeralds.

The 110.03 carat Sun-Drop diamond, graded Fancy Vivid yellow by GIA, is the largest pear-shape diamond of this color grade known to date. Only a small percentage of yellow diamonds examined by GIA receive a grade of Fancy Vivid, which is one of the most sought-after color grades. This percentage decreases dramatically as the size of the diamond increases. It is rare for a colored diamond of this size to have such opulent color.

This diamond formed over a billion years ago deep within the earth. Nitrogen impurities became incorporated into its crystal structure during growth, causing the diamond to absorb blue light, which causes its yellow color. This jaw-dropping diamond was found in South Africa.
