Yesterday kicked off the fall portion of the 2025 Cedar Valley Miracle League with 3 games played at Cedar River Park in Waverly - and what a beautiful day for baseball! The Wartburg College baseball team showed up in huge numbers as the Buddies for the day. Coach Klunder’s commitment to having his players volunteer every season is incredible! They do so well with the kids and the CVML players absolutely love them! Week 2 is back at All-Play Ballpark in Parkersburg with games at 9, 10, and 11. C’mon out to see the action!

Mira Schmitt with Waverly Newspapers did an outstanding job describing the essence of the Cedar Valley Miracle League!

Kemree Pugh hit her second solid bunt off a Stacy Meisgeier lob and headed to first base. Rather than throw to first for an out, Meisgeier waited as Kemree, 15, of Waverly, reached base and high-fived her student helper.

Saturday’s CVML action took us to a Cedar River Park in Waverly with the Wartburg College baseball team as our Buddies. They were fabulous in enthusiasm and in numbers…over 60 showed up to help! The players were great and had a blast with the beautiful game day weather!

Week 2 of CVML action at Cedar River Park in Waverly was great! Incredible turnout by players, fans, and Waverly Kiwanis. And, the W-SR Go-Hawk softball team did outstanding as Buddies!

PLUS, the W-SR softball team held a fundraiser earlier this year and today donated $280 of their proceeds to the CVML! What a wonderful group of young women!!! HUGE thank you to W-SR softball team!

Opening week of CVML action had an incredible turnout! Thank you Taylor PT and Hope Reformed Church for helping make it a great day.

Let’s make week two even better! We’ll play at Cedar River Park in Waverly with games at 10 and 11 am. If you haven’t yet, come watch over 50 kids do incredible things on the ball diamond while having a blast the whole time!

We’re so excited for this season! Last year the league reached 50 players and we hope to have even more kids play this season!

We’ll continue to play games at both All-Play Ballpark in Parkersburg and Cedar River Park in Waverly. Season details, including dates and locations, can be found on registration link at allplayballpark.com.
