Hi plants friends! So I wanted to let everyone know that Allibelle’s will be open this Saturday April 5th from 10-4 and Saturday May 3rd 10-4 and then I will be permanently closing to the public after May 3rd. I will be selling a lot of my personal collection as well. I am off Facebook semipermanently for the near future so I will not be replying to any messages or comments. I just hopped on to inform the public. You are welcome to come by this Saturday and shop for rare plants or just the beauties that bring you joy.
Now that I said all of that, I’m sure there will be questions on why. And this is my why…I bought my first plant ever March 2020 to heal from a near death experience that took place Feb 2020. I got obsessed with how plants made me feel and I ran with it. I set a goal in 2021 that I would build, open and run my very own small nursery and share the joy and the healing it brought me during a hard time in my life. I feel like I have accomplished that goal(not dream, but goal). But as always, when you turn a hobby into a business, it’s no longer a hobby it’s a business that requires debt, lots of time, patience, money, fortitude, drive, determination, wisdom, adversity, will-power, strength, manpower(something I don’t have), knowledge, business experience and soooo much more. It no longer fulfills my desire to have all those traits. Owning a business is not for the weak. I know I’m not weak, heck, I’m the strongest person I know but if something no longer makes your heart feel bigger and the joy radiate off your face then it’s time to close that chapter. I have no idea what the next chapter will be but I do know I have calling to spread some type of awareness or shine a light on those whose lights are dim. Time will only tell.
