Cookies pleeease!!! OT fun with Minh yesterday! Thank goodness Mimi aka Lisa Coyle Clouse had a crinkle cutter! A regular knife was not working for Minh the dough was rolling, she also did not have enough strength to cut through when pushing the knife back and forth, due to thickness of the dough. Minh also enjoyed washing dishes, decorating the cookies, and eating the finished product!!! I see a chief and an artist in the making with this talented little girl!!! 💕

To all our Discovery Therapy clients, families, friends, & team members, I want to describe how we at Discovery Therapy are feeling at this moment! With the spread of COVID-19, we are following the guidance of our officials and practicing social distancing and therefore, will not be able to come to your houses at this time, however, we are looking into providing services through telehealth for continual therapy! Please know this is very difficult for all of us, you our clients are just like family to us, and refraining from seeing our family is heart wrenching!
I stopped by a client’s home this morning, to drop off supplies for his mother, who graciously said “yes” to a sewing project for me. While I was at their home, her son came from his room to the door; he tugged and pulled on me to come in and to go play with him. Both his mom & I told him that I could not come in to play with him at this time, as I hugged him saying “I’m so sorry” I tried not to show it, but I was about to cry. For many of our clients, we have been welcomed into your homes for months and even years to share experiences and grow. Though we physically may not be at your house, our thoughts, our prayers, and our hearts are with each and every one of you! We as a community will get through this situation because we know it is temporary! Please stay safe during this time and remember, “Challenges are what make life interesting and overcoming them is what makes life meaningful”.

I’m sorry to see the month of October is over. It was a beautiful month, filled with many beautiful days and great fun during therapy!!!
