Before a finished piece ever takes shape in metal, there’s a process most people never see.

A wax model is carefully surrounded by investment, creating the foundation for what will eventually become the finished piece. The wax is burned away, leaving a precise cavity ready for the metal.

It’s one of the many carefully executed steps that turn an idea into something tangible, lasting, and worth recognizing.

These little cutting attachments are called jeweler's burrs, and they're some of the most versatile tools in a jeweler's studio. They are used to carve, shape, and refine precious metals, wax, and even some gemstones.

Burrs come in dozens of different shapes and sizes, and each one is designed for a specific task. They can cut precise seats for gemstones, remove excess material, smooth rough edges, and clean up the tiny details that are difficult to reach with hand tools. We start with solid blocks of aluminum and bring them to life with custom designs engraved using our CNC machine. From there, molten material is injected into the mold, filling every cavity to produce a clean, consistent finish across every production run.
