Shannon Noelke Metal Arts

Shannon Noelke Metal Arts Shannon Noelke Metal Arts Shannon Noelke Metal Arts is more than artisan jewelry. I began creating beaded jewelry as a child and throughout my teenage years.

It is the blending of feminine and masculine elements into a synthesis of natural materials that speaks to the ancient and primal in all of us. I specialize in traditional metal work, intricate wire weaving, metal etching and fold forming. I create these one of a kind pieces as a way to connect to the sacred within myself as well as my customers. I took my first silversmithing class through the Ja

cksonville Gem and Mineral Society in the late 90's, and later took some courses through the Jewelry Design Institute of St Augustine. In 2009 while I was 7 months pregnant with my one and only sweet girl named Stella, Robert, myself and his mother went and took a weekend silversmithing course at the James Carter Studio which was in Pensacola at the time. I hope to keep furthering my knowledge by taking courses from other teachers. From 2007-2013 I co-owned a local bead shop, Bead Here Now, which i recently decided to leave in pursuit of creating full time, and to open up King Street Studios with my husband Robert Noelke. In the back of the Bead Here Now we had "The Itty Bitty Smithy" where I taught metalworking classes for the from 2008 until 2014, including, fold-forming, etching as well as soldering. Most recently was published in the August 2013 issue of Step By Step Wire Magazine with a wire wrapped earring tutorial and again published in the May/June 2014 Issue of First Coast Family, a local magazine and will be in the upcoming issue with my husband Robert in the July/August Issue of Arbus Magazine. be to sure follow my blog at www.shannonnoelkemetalarts.blogspot.com

The studio is more than just a space to create jewelry or forge a knife, it is a place for growth, mindfulness and connection. We want to make sure everyone has the chance to experience that “aha” moment when they finish their first silver band or their copper bangles, or knife. If you have ever wanted to support the arts but didnt know how, heres how you can join our mission: Donations are set up in $10 increments. Every little bit helps.

Option 1: Pay it forward: Donate to the scholarship fund: Help us fund a full class for a deserving student who may not otherwise be able to take a class due to finances. Once the fund reaches full tuition for a class, I will open it up for a scholarship that month for our spring, summer and fall classes.

Option 2: Sponser a workbench: Help us keep our tools and supplies stocked.

(Contributions to these funds are a gift and not tax deductible as we are not a non profit)
