there has never been a lack of inspiration for Molly. Being surrounded by the Cape's natural beauty and nautical world has heavily influenced her designs. Molly began her journey in metalsmithing in her early high school years where her passion for the craft started to blossom. At a young age she earned various awards for her designs and went on to take more metals classes after she graduated. How

ever it wasn't until 2012 when she honed in on her skills and designs after receiving a diploma from The Revere Academy of Jewelry Arts in San Francisco, CA. Upon completing her program she returned to Cape Cod and launched her namesake company, Molly Avellar Jewelry. Every piece of Molly Avellar Jewelry is handcrafted by Molly herself. Molly prides herself in her unique designs and style. She is always trying to evolve as a designer and push herself. Aside from creating her beautifully unique lines of jewelry, Molly also focuses on one of a kind pieces. Whether it be a piece using a one of a kind stone she has found or a piece designed just for the customer. These one of a kind pieces are some of her favorites to create. When she isn't in her studio creating Molly often can be found walking the shores with her dog Nala. In the spring of 2015 Molly teamed up with her mother Jenny to open Adorn, located in East Orleans, MA. Their shop featured handcrafted jewelry, including Molly's, art, gifts and unique goods for home and lifestyle. Beth’s engagement ring and wedding band, finally finished! We designed these together, and I am so happy with where we landed.

The engagement ring features a beautiful chrysoprase bezel set in 18k yellow gold on a contrasting white gold band. The coordinating white gold wedding band is accented with diamonds, and the two rings were designed to sit beautifully together or be worn on their own.

The color of this stone is unreal. Go to the last photo to see it alongside the hydrangeas outside the shop.

I have always loved working with cabochon stones, so when I found a supplier offering Canadian diamonds cut this way, I knew I had to bring one into my work.
Instead of traditional facets, this diamond has a smooth, rounded surface that gives it a soft glow, almost like looking into a crystal ball. I set it in solid 14k yellow gold with small gold bubbles accenting the band.

A quiet, unconventional take on a diamond ring, and completely one of a kind.

A commission I loved working on. My client brought me an heirloom diamond and wanted something that felt like home, so I hand carved an oyster shell and cast it in 14k white gold with the diamond set in the center where the pearl would be. Check out the back — every ridge and ripple came through in the casting exactly the way I hoped.
