This is a 10.18ct GIA-graded elongated cushion, L color, VVS1 clarity, measuring approximately 14.7 x 11.7mm.

This stone took serious searching.

Finding a natural diamond over 10 carats with this elongated shape, beautiful proportions, exceptional clarity, and strong symmetry is rare. Cushions vary tremendously, and finding one with this kind of length and presence takes patience and experience.

We work with diamonds every day, and this one immediately commanded attention.

The warm L color gives it a rich, romantic glow. The VVS1 clarity allows the stone to look remarkably clean. And the scale gives it a presence that simply has to be experienced in person.

There are only two ivory teeth in a bull elk.

Willis knew immediately that each one should become a meaningful gift.

He approaches every hunt with deep respect for the animal and nothing is wasted. He chose to transform the two ivory teeth into custom pendants for his wife and daughter.

His daughter’s was designed in silver as an artistic interpretation of an elk antler, with the ivory left in its natural shape. The design reflects her love of the outdoors while honoring the animal it came from.

This was his first custom project with us, and it became so much more than a piece of jewelry. It honored the animal, preserved the memory of the hunt, and gave his daughter something that could only ever belong to her.

“She’s an incredible woman. I want it to be perfect.”

Tony came to Augustus Fine Jewelers with a concept and a reference photo he didn’t really love.

What he did know was that he wanted something classy, luxurious, and completely personal to the woman who had loved him, supported him, and stood by his side through everything.

And because she absolutely LOVES purple, her favorite color had to be part of the design.

After listening to his vision, we created a custom marquise engagement ring set in yellow gold, featuring elegant baguettes and round purple sapphire accents along the sides.

The finished ring was sophisticated, meaningful, and perfect for the woman he loves.

The proposal was a complete surprise, she loves the ring and there were many happy tears when he finally asked her 🥹

She came to us with more than diamonds. She came with memories, family history, and a vision rooted in her faith.

She wanted to bring pieces from different chapters of her life together into one design that felt deeply personal. Something she could wear close to her heart. Something that honored where she came from and what has carried her through.

The result was this custom white gold and diamond cross, finished with a yellow gold crown of thorns surrounding the center diamond.

Every detail leads your eye back to the center. Just like faith does.

When she saw the design, she shared: “I love it and can’t wait to get it!! Thank you so much for bringing my vision so beautifully to life. This will be the most precious piece of jewelry I’ve ever owned. 😊”

He waited years for the ring to reappear.

For 25 years, he wore the same classic diamond signet ring almost every day. It went with him to special occasions, important moments, and the ordinary days in between. It was masculine, timeless, and unmistakably his.

When it disappeared, he kept hoping it would turn up.

It never did.

So when he and his wife came to us, the goal was not to replace it with something similar. The goal was to recreate the feeling of the ring he had lived in for decades.

There were no photos of his ring.

They described the shape, the presence, and the way it looked on his hand. We listened closely and began rebuilding it detail by detail.

At the center, he chose a one-carat natural diamond. He appreciated the individuality of a natural stone, along with the confidence of a GIA inscription that permanently connects the diamond to its grading report.

Then came the moment that mattered most.

When he saw the finished ring, he was blown away.

After years of wondering whether the original would ever return, he finally had something that felt like his again. His wife told us they believe the new ring is even better than the one that was lost.

Platinum is one of the finest jewelry metals in the world. It’s dense, naturally white, incredibly durable, and is a great alternative to white gold. It’s perfect to hold your diamonds in place thanks to its internal structure.

What many people don’t realize is that platinum also requires a different level of expertise at the jeweler’s bench.

Because platinum melts at a much higher temperature than gold and behaves differently during repairs and restoration, not every jeweler is equipped to work on it properly. The tools, techniques, and experience required are simply different.

These estate platinum bracelets recently came across our bench, and they serve as a great reminder of why this remarkable metal has remained a favorite for generations.
