If you told 8 year old me, sitting in the kitchen making “jewelry” for my sisters, that one day I’d get to create pieces that became family heirlooms, I wouldn’t have believed you. Izzy + LH ✨ Izzy knew she wanted a non traditional engagement ring and it was such a fun project. She absolutely loved the turquoise inlaid band we created. And I absolutely loved watching LH surprise her with it on this magical trip to Hawaii. (I’ll post the surprise engagement and her reaction in my stories today! You will laugh, you will cry. 💛)

After the crazy storms in California this week, come enjoy the sunshine with a Valentine’s Day Pop Up Market in our urban garden at Shop Altana on Piedmont Avenue in Oakland. This Saturday, February 10th from 12-3 PM. ❤️

We have so many great local creatives & makers for you to meet. We will have Valentine’s Day floral arrangements for pre-order with Cecilia of Thoa & May, permanent jewelry appointments available with local designer Lina Shatara, ceramics from Jen of Miyoko Lune Studios, botanical oils & Ayurvedic living from Maria of OFTHEROOT, and natural skincare products from Dre of Morris & Wade. No matter who you’re shopping for, you’re sure to find Valentine’s treats! (Especially if that person is you!) 💕

Just in time for Valentine’s Day, come celebrate all the different kinds of love in our lives with a special natural dye workshop at Shop Altana. We’ll hang out in our beautiful garden and create vibrant silk scarves in shades of crimson & brick red for you to take home. ❤️

Led by the incredible Pallavi Sarup of Hamesha Project, we’ll learn about Madder & South Asian dying techniques and have a chance to practice those methods before you are set free to dye your own silk scarf. While we wait for the dye to deepen, we’ll enjoy food & drinks & each other’s company.

The cost of the workshop covers all your materials & food & drink. Whether you come with your platonic loves or your partners or just come all alone to meet other people who love the same things you do, we can’t wait to see you there!
