Our Story

Oak Park Jewelers was founded in 1984 by Gary Ciccione and Ron Nikel. With their experience managing corporate jewelry stores, they decided to launch a business of their own. To support their endeavor, they slowly gathered jewelry repair work. In no time at all, they had a successful mom-and-pop jewelry repair store.

By continually providing customers with quality jewelry, excellent service, and expert craftsmanship, Oak Park Jewelers has grown far beyond that. As a family-owned and operated business, Oak Park Jewelers prides itself in the personal attention provided in a warm, welcoming atmosphere to each person who comes through our doors. In the process, we’ve earned a reputation for quality, trust, integrity, and value.

When Gary and Ron decided to retire at the end of 2018, Gary’s son, Sam Ciccione, decided to take the reigns and re-open the doors of OPJ for good. Now with a brand new look, new designers & more options than ever before, Oak Park Jewelers is proudly continuing the legacy Gary and Ron created on the Historic corner of South & Marion.

Featuring an extensive collection ranging from minimalist everyday pieces to bold, beautiful statement items, Oak Park Jewelers showcases a large selection of diamonds, colored gemstone jewelry, gold, silver, platinum, and pearls. In addition, we carry fine timepiece lines, such as Movado, Citizen, and Tissot. With such a wide variety of fine jewelry, Oak Park Jewelers is able to satisfy all tastes and budgets.
