Andrea Turini Jewelry

Andrea Turini Jewelry Classically elegant beaded statement jewelry, specializing in one-of-a-kind custom creations I bought a loom, a few hanks of seed beads and never looked back!

I was first inspired to make beaded jewelry on a trip to Montana in 1991. Although I have created pieces using most mediums (stringing, wire wrapping, metal smithing, etc.), my passion is in beadweaving. My creations have the body in mind. I strive to make jewelry that is comfortable because if it's not, you won't want to wear it! Bold colors are balanced by unique color contrasts to create pieces that are not restricted by fads but are still stylish in design.

Happening tonight in Albert Lea! And the jewelry workshop will be this Saturday for those who attend the presentation 💜

I’ll be in Albert Lea on May 28 for Heirloom Fire: Czech Glasswork, part of my SEMAC-funded grant.

Last year I traveled to the Czech Republic to visit factories and artisan homes where glass beads, buttons, and decorative elements are still produced using traditional techniques. I returned with original video, materials in various stages of production, and the tools used in these processes. I turned this into a one-hour interactive presentation that explores how the industry has evolved, survived and remained deeply tied to regional culture.

A hands-on jewelry design class on Saturday, May 30 allows participants to design a coordinating set using authentic Czech glass beads. Class is limited to 12, available to presentation attendees only.

Join Minnesota jewelry artist Andrea Turini on June 27th from 10:30am-12pm as she brings audiences inside the living traditions of Czech glass and beadmaking. Her presentation, Heirloom Fire: Czech Glasswork, draws on firsthand experiences in Jablonec nad Nisou, a region long recognized as a world center of bead and button production.

Then, audience members have the option to attend the Czech Glass Jewelry Design Workshop from 1-2pm.

The presentation is free and open to all, but please register beforehand. If you plan to add on the workshop, please make this selection when you sign up. Learn more and register here: https://redwingarts.org/calendar-of-events/2026/6/27/czech-glasswork

This program was awarded a Southeastern Minnesota Arts Council (SEMAC) grant, recognizing its artistic and educational value. While the grant supports a tour in southeastern Minnesota, Andrea also offers the program to arts centers, libraries, cultural groups, and community organizations across the region.
