National First Responders Day on October 28 recognizes the heroic men and women who make it their business to take immediate action when tragedy strikes. As we run from danger or feel paralyzed with fear, they run towards it and let their extensive training take over all the necessary decision making to serve their community.

When my son was 9 years old he had violent abdominal pain and we went to the closest emergency room. At that time they needed transport him to the nearest children's hospital. I remember being so scared for him as we traveled in the ambulance. He was brave and put on a tough face. They only allowed one parent in the ambulance so my husband and parents followed behind in another car. When the emergency lights turned on mid trip driving on I-90 to Fairview they said they started to get scared. My son's pain was increasing and they didn't know if his appendix was bursting. Luckily when we got to the hospital they could regulate his pain and he was able to wait until the morning for his surgery. I was so thankful to every first responder that cared for him and treated him with dignity and respect.

If you see a fire fighter/police officer/dispatcher/EMT around town, please tell them that you appreciate all the work they do, and thank them for keeping you safe. Even this small gesture can make a big difference in a First Responder's day.

100 years of Disney being celebrated TODAY!

I have so many Disney memories over the years but nothing compares my side trip I took in 2021 with my daughter who alongside me earned an all expensive paid trip to Clearwater with our company Origami Owl--Think Goodness.

I love all the Disney classic movies--like Lion King, Alladin but my favorite is BEAUTY AND THE BEAST! (Picture when I played Mrs. Potts in the musical)

My favorite Disney character of all time is Mickey Mouse! He's iconic!
