Peridot is the beautiful birthstone of August, it’s such a gorgeous gemstone. I created this necklace with August birthdays in mind, featuring peridot-colored crystal beads, ultra-light pink crystal beads, Unakite gemstone beads, and silver-toned findings.

💎 A little gemstone story:
Peridot is one of the few gemstones that occurs in only one color—its beautiful shades of green come from the iron naturally present in the stone. It has been admired for centuries and has even been found in ancient Egyptian jewelry, Peridot has a fascinating history and was known as the gem of the sun in ancient Egypt.

Unakite is a unique gemstone known for its soft combination of green and blush-pink tones. It is a type of altered granite composed primarily of epidote, pink orthoclase feldspar, and quartz. I love the way its natural colors complement the soft pink and green tones in this necklace.

The result is a feminine, delicate piece with a beautiful mix of color, sparkle, and natural gemstone character. 🩷💚✨
