"What are the unseen roots that hold you up when the winds blow?"

​The shapes coming off my bench right now feel raw, entirely born from a vulnerable space. They are simple, continuous lines—a quiet celebration of presence, meant to remind you of your own steady, beautiful architecture when everything else around you is spinning.

​Because this entire process is resting on real-time, subconscious intuition, it doesn't feel right for you to just be someone who buys a finished piece from a screen. I want to invite you into the presence of creation with me. I want you to help guide my hands.

I am opening up a path for us to connect directly through the metal. You will be able to send your own emotional coordinates into this work—whether that is a single word of personal intention you are carrying, or the specific music you want playing in the background while I work. When I step up to the bench to shape your piece, your energy will actively guide the flow of the line.

Hey ya'll

I wanted to show a little face and check in for those who are new here and all my long-time family 😚.

I am Rhashida Bess - Artist, grounded in Artisan Jewelry and the owner of Alodeuri Jewelry & Accessories

I have been creating most of my life. My parents would tell you I made clothes for dolls out of socks and stuff around the house since I could rip the fabric apart! I started creating jewelry over 30 years ago when I was 13 in high school. I took a jewelry class in my freshman year and haven't lost a beat since then. I have dabbled in so many different art mediums throughout my life journey, but adornment has been the foundation of my creative being since that first piece of metal I took a saw to all those years ago.

This gift has become almost another language for me, I can see a piece of jewelry in almost anything and have evolved to not only create but to be a evolving student of this craft - it's history and how my ancestors communicated through adornments.

I align more and more with this language, connecting to the parts of me that know it so well and can speak so fluently when I just open up and let it out.

Hello - to everyone here helping me to speak this language - who support me by purchasing the stories I tell through each piece - who watch me nurture and grow my artistry and who welcome other people into this world by sharing.

I am grateful to be in this space, to have this gift, and to grow a space where I can share it with the world.
