Forgot to post this MOP evil eye charm set in brass! It sold today so I will have to make more. These solid, indestructible bezels by are perfect to house these little protection pieces.

With the cost of metals so high, it’s time to turn my vast collection of novelties and beads. Before I took classes in metalsmithing, I happily assembled jewelry using what I had too much of on hand. Guess what? I still have all that stuff! Some who have been following me for awhile may recognize the religious medal necklace, which has been on vacation. I remember my excitement as I found it in a box of junk at the old 26th street garage flea market, where I also found the orange molded glass Egyptian Revival necklace, which was broken. I bought it for a Broadway show I was assisting on at the time, in the 1990s. It wasn’t used so it went home with me. I took it apart and remade it, and recently did some research on the orange beads and am convinced that they were made by the Neiger brothers. The juicy jewel-tone dyed freshwater pearl necklace screams XMAS to me and it too is back from its extended vacation. If I can find the time I will add new bead jewelry this summer. I especially need to dive into the moon glow boxes as those beads are just so much fun.

New earrings! Fused glass, enamel over copper, sterling silver. Long and dangly, great colors for Spring and Summer. Had fun making these and I’m working my way through more fused glass pieces.
