I don’t carry the goods myself because I wouldn’t do well in prison. Also, if something goes wrong, I would owe a lot of money with no gems to show for it 😔.

I know most people don’t talk about raising prices because its seen as bad or wrong. But my costs to replace this stone are increasing every few months. With prices increasing so dramatically in this beautiful gemstone, I need to up my prices to go along with it. I want to give you a chance to buy at my old prices so check it out while you can. The backbone of any gemstone business these days in the photography. Good photos are essential but its not as simple as point and click. It’s a process I have honed over the 10 years in the industry. A system that has immensely helped me grow this company. It’s worth it.

Sometimes you mess up and wind up with chocolate/candy from Australia. In all areas of life, but especially in this industry, it’s important to acknowledge mistakes, learn, and do what you can to make it right. $250+ in import/tariff/USDA fees was an expensive lesson, and I’m glad my customer was kind during the entire process.

Monday is the surgery day and i’m looking forward to eating normally again after 10-14 days of a modified diet. It’s been 8 years since my last POEM surgery and so I know what to expect and nerves are non-existent. Going to rest at home for a few days and i’ll be back to slinging gems soon!

Part 2 on the testing to determine whether or not I needed another surgery for my achalasia. The barium is a little weird because its thick and chalky. The taste isn’t bad but its definitely not something I want to indulge in regularly. Being tipped at different angles isn’t so bad either and is kinda like a slow roller coaster.

The bad test is the manometry which requires the tube to go in through my nose and stay there for a while. Its pretty awful getting it down and I didn’t want to gross you out by the removal. There’s a lot more gagging and i’m getting some visceral feelings just thinking about it.

I’m getting surgery again for my rare swallowing disorder and thought ya’ll may find it interesting 😃. Achalasia is a nerve disorder and makes it more difficult for me to eat because the sphincter muscle between esophagus and stomach is to tight. I’ll explain more about the testing in part 2 but I really like the scans of my insides.

Surgery is set for the 19th!
