Although genuine gold is actually quite soft, even handmade items are assembled using stock settings and band ordered from wholesaler jeweler suppliers. So no, this is not actually in the range of normal. To the eye, it does not actually truly even resemble anything in the precious metal catagory, let alone silver. If it were, the jeweler incorrectly shaped the band, it was compressed at some point, or it’s a plated alloy. I would just send it back and refund

Oblong ring
Is this normal for a ring? It seems very oblong and “lop sided” on one side. Ordered the ring off of Etsy I won’t name the shop unless they don’t make it right.
