I didn’t rebuild this body to prove anyone wrong. I rebuilt it so that one day my daughter will know exactly what a woman is capable of when she refuses to quit.
II never gave myself grace. I never made a single excuse for myself.
I held myself accountable every single day—not because anyone expected me to, but because I refused to settle for less than I knew I was capable of. The body I built today is stronger than the one I had before pregnancy, but the greatest transformation wasn’t physical. It was mental.
All my life, I heard the same thing from other women:
“Say goodbye to your body.”
“Your life is over once you have a baby.”
“You’ll never have time for yourself again.”
“Motherhood changes everything.”
They were right about one thing…
Motherhood changes everything.
It doesn’t have to make you weaker.
It can make you unstoppable.
Postpartum has been the hardest experience of my life. It humbled me, broke me, rebuilt me, and gave me a newfound respect for every mother fighting to find herself again.
I’ve had countless conversations with women who feel lost after having a baby. If there’s one piece of advice I can give, it’s this: set boundaries and protect your mental health at all costs.
Every day, you’re fighting a battle in your own mind. The last thing you need is carrying the weight of everyone else’s opinions. Don’t let anyone project their fears, limitations, or expectations onto you.
Protect your peace.
Protect your mindset.
Nobody knows what you’re capable of better than you do.
And for everyone who told me to say goodbye to my body…
Consider this the receipt.
Because the body they told me I’d never have again…
Never came back. I built something even stronger.
