Before modern mining, high-quality turquoise was difficult to source and came from only select regions:
Persia (considered the finest historically), The Sinai, and parts of Tibet. Most turquoise today is mined in southwest USA, primarily Arizona.

Historically, owning vivid blue turquoise meant access to elite trade networks, embodying something only nobility possessed. A jewel came to represent status, access, and the elite connections one may have had.

A true masterpiece, handcrafted by the world’s finest artisans in our atelier. This extraordinary cuff features over one hundred carats of cabochon emeralds, accented with turquoise and diamond detailing throughout. The emerald cabochons are cut in the rare and highly coveted sugarloaf style—distinguished by their elegant pointed dome and revered among discerning collectors. It must be noted, the sugarloaf cut is Mimi’s favorite across all gem cuts that exist. At its center sits an exceptionally rare stone of remarkable scale, a true testament to nature’s artistry. Creations of this caliber are seldom seen and typically remain preserved within our archival vault as part of Piranesi’s enduring design heritage. Reserved for only the most special occasions, this bracelet emerges for exhibition on the world stage just a handful of times each year.

Cabochons, a core cut admired by the design archives of Piranesi. Featured here is an archival mounting crafted in the early 1990’s but not set with the corresponding gemstones until this year! Many times a design is created but it may take decades to find the gems to adorn them with. The cabochon Colombian Emeralds are set in yellow gold with diamond accents.

Did you know, many of our iconic collections are renditions of design inspiration from our coveted archival design binders from the 20th century. From the design archives of Piranesi’s artistry in the late 90’s, the Vendome Collection was reimagined to bring the bold hues of their color gemstones to life in a design that embodies classic with an edge.
