Two years ago today, a moment was captured in California that changed everything.

I was workshop for beveling course, standing alongside . Looking at this photo now, it feels historic. In that timeframe, I was soaking up the mastery and technical precision of these guys, and their passion became the catalyst for my own evolution.

The knowledge and inspiration I gained in that workshop pushed me to create at a higher level and move into an entirely new chapter. Today, as I launch the Nova, I look back at this day as the point where the vision for this watch truly began to take shape.

Grateful for the mentors and friends who inspire us to push the boundaries of what’s possible.

The Legacy Series — Nova Edition.

A Nova is more than just a star, it’s a sudden, brilliant evolution. When developing the star pattern for the new Nova Edition, I wanted a design that captured that exact energy. It represents a vital bridge between my family’s heritage and the dawn of a completely new chapter for ROYTER.

In keeping with my commitment to the traditional, “slow way” of independent horology, this dial is brought to life entirely by hand. There are no machines and no shortcuts here. Every single facet of the starburst pattern is meticulously hand-engraved by super talented It demands absolute focus to ensure the spacing, depth and geometry is flawless, so that when you turn the watch, the cut angles catch and reflect the light perfectly, creating a dynamic, sweeping burst of energy across the dial.

But the engraving is only the foundation. Once the metalwork is complete, the pattern is finished with 13 distinct layers of lacquer. I custom-mix this paint myself, applying each layer by hand to achieve a rich, luminous depth that honors the classical crafts I stand on.

This piece is a deeply personal tribute to where I come from, and a defining statement of where my Brooklyn atelier is headed as I begin bringing this series to life. Stay tuned for more!

It’s more than just a seconds hand, It represents true passion and dedication. The journey start with a blank of raw metal and slowly find the shape through manual filing, beveling and polishing. It’s a test of patience, but the result is worth every second.

Dear friends! After many years devoted to creating hand finished timepieces, learning and developing new skills along the way, I’m taking the next step in my horological journey, the development of my own movement.

I’m truly excited to share the very first drawing, beautifully captured by the talented Lee Yuen-Rapati , who helped translate my ideas and vision onto paper for the very first time. The DR-02 presents a hand-crafted pink salmon dial, accented with hand-applied diamond-shaped indexes and elegant Roman numerals. Heat-blued, hand-shaped steel hands sweep effortlessly across the surface, paired with a deep blue alligator strap featuring contrast stitching.
