Iryna Fedorenko, internationally known as SEMIRA, has returned with her personal exhibition "Meine Welt" (“My World”), which opened at SchauRaum im Ackermannbogen in Munich on April 29. The title intentionally references her very first exhibition at the Museum of Pryazovskyi State Technical University in Ukraine, where she received her formal art education. The show features both SEMIRA’s signature works, including "The Red Queen," and her recent experimental pieces blending traditional and digital art, reflecting the artist’s personal and creative transformation. Ecuador is preparing for the 61st Venice Biennale with its exhibition “Tawna & Oscar,” a collaboration between Oscar Santillán and the Tawna collective. The pavilion is commissioned by the Museum of Anthropology and Contemporary Art (MAAC), a key cultural institution in Ecuador.

Bringing together an anti-colonial group of mestizo artists and a dynamic contemporary art practitioner, the project promises a distinctive and thought-provoking dialogue on indigenous culture and ancestral legacy. Curated by Manuela Moscoso, this year’s Pavilion of Ecuador is set to showcase the richness and diversity of the country’s contemporary artistic landscape.

The American artist Joseph A. Miller is a vivid representative of contemporary figurative art. He has developed a unique artistic style that invites audiences to explore psychologically charged, imaginative narratives in dreamlike contexts. Miller’s philosophy is revisiting the childish belief in magic and paying tribute to the infinite freedom that childhood gives people. The artist currently works as an Associate Professor at S.U.N.Y Buffalo State University, teaching students contemporary art techniques. His paintings are in many public and private collections and are widely exhibited on all continents. Signature features of Miller’s art include experimentation with atmospheric perspective and focus, achieved with the help of light effects. The 7th edition of The Wrong Biennale is in full swing, and Platform 101 is again among the participants. An art institution dedicated to digital art and glitch aesthetics, Platform 101 presents the cream of the crop of digital art innovation in its “Patterns of Infinity” pavilion, curated by Arezou Ramezani. This year’s creative concept relates to the exploration of micro-macro progression and the transformation of natural elements into cosmic structures. Platform 101’s artists offer their interpretations of natural patterns through generative coding, AI integrations, and other innovative digital art tools to revisit the long-standing nature-human relationship. The Wrong Biennale runs through March 31, 2026.
