Sucre NYC Sucre is a collaboration between famed eyewear designer, Selima Salaun, and veteran buyer Candace Mohr.

An eclectic mix of independent, up-and-coming designers alongside Selima’s collection of statement making vintage jewelry and eyewear. Selima Salaun and Candace Mohr met 11 years ago and bonded over a shared love of accessories. In 2007 they started Sucre, a highly edited mix of clothing, jewelry, accessories and glasses located in the heart of New York City's West Village. It was a perfect match,

bringing Selima's colorful, innovative eyewear to Candace's eclectic designer mix. Through the years the store has built an impressive group of designers, some more established and many that are up and coming, just waiting to be discovered. A visit will find favorites Lulu Frost, Pamela Love and Saya Hibino alongside newer designers like Armor, Assad Mounser and Suzanna Dai. This website is a continuation of that shopping experience-you will find the classics that our customers love alongside the best of the new, all the pieces that you need to transform an outfit from ordinary to extraordinary. We have started with jewelry as that is how we began in 2007.

In honor of Pride Month in June, for the second year, we are very thrilled to be one of the seven CFDA eyewear brands uniting to launch the third annual edCFDA Pride Eyewear Initiative.

The designers Blake Kuwahara, Christian Roth, G*i Gherardi & Barbara McReynolds, Jeff Press, Patty Perreira, and Stirling Barrett will each offer a limited edition sunglass design, with a portion of proceeds collectively benefiting Bring Change to Mind.
Established in 2022, the edCFDA Pride Eyewear Initiative is an annual charitable venture driven by eyewear designers of the CFDA to target and highlight specific needs within the broad spectrum of the LGBTQ+ and gender non-conforming community. With donations to LGBTQ+ causes.

Proceeds from sales of the 2024 edCFDA Pride Eyewear Initiative will benefit Bring Change to Mind
(BC2M) www.bringchange2mind.org, an organization dedicated to ending stigma and discrimination surrounding mental health. The edCFDA’s collective donation will target BC2M’s high school programs (where almost half of the teens identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community), as well as BC2M’s LGBTQ+
Youth Mental Health Task Force designed to build empathetic allies and activists, and provide crucial support to LGBTQ+ youth.

We’re honored to partner this year with Bring Change To Mind to help them continue their support programs and to broaden their reach to even more high schools across the United States.
