Carnelian Knoll Designs by Julie Siegmund I create, design and sell jewelry made of distinctive beads: vintage & artisanal glass, silver, stone That was in March 1997.

I am a jewelry maker who discovered that I had a good eye for design while working full time in Human Resources. A boutique owner on the Upper West Side asked to sell my creations after admiring a necklace I had created. Carnelian Knoll started up in October 1998, and I’ve never looked back. My creations are simple, yet classic. I design and craft every piece of jewelry myself, and look forward to

customer feedback so that I can improve my work. I carefully source superior materials (such as fabulous handmade and unusual vintage beads) and design with precision. I love to share the provenance of my beads with my customers. In addition to crafts fairs and sales in my Upper West Side studio, I offer “socially conscious shopping events” for my customers in their homes and offices. A percentage of sales goes to the charitable institution of the host’s choice. Over the years I have raised money for many NYC public schools, local choral organizations, colleges, A Fair Shake for Youth, the Multiple Sclerosis Society, various synagogues and churches, cancer care organizations and the like. I donate gift certificates and jewelry in kind as well.
