As Windsor's Estates Expert, Alexandra's passion for fine jewelry and the stories behind each piece, drive her work. With her technical acumen as a Graduate Gemologist (GIA), she offers a unique and global view of jewelry craftsmanship.
Bulgari Coin Necklace:
A remarkable fusion of ancient history and Bulgari’s iconic craftsmanship, this 1980s Monete necklace features an ancient Greek gold coin dating to approximately 300 BC, bearing the image of Alexander the Great. The historical significance of the coin is enhanced by Bulgari’s visionary jewelry design, blending the treasures of antiquity with the elegance and innovation for which the house is celebrated.
Patek Philippe Emerald Ring:
What makes this piece truly exceptional is the union of two rare attributes: the prestigious signature of Patek Philippe—a name most often associated with extraordinary watchmaking rather than jewelry—and its remarkable 5.74-carat Colombian no-oil emerald. With its clarity, proportions and captivating green hue, this emerald makes it an extraordinarily rare piece that I do not expect to encounter again.
Tiffany & Co. Bone Cuff:
I've always admired Elsa Peretti’s ability to transform simple, organic forms into timeless icons. Her designs are celebrated for their sculptural beauty and effortless elegance, proving that exceptional design can make a lasting impression through form alone. The Bone Cuff remains one of her most recognizable creations, with a bold yet understated silhouette that feels just as modern today as when it was first introduced.
Van Cleef & Arpels Bracelet:
This bracelet immediately caught my attention because of its color palette and custom cut gem selection. The vivid pink spinel, accented by pink and purple sapphires, coral, and diamonds, creates a design that is simultaneously bold and feminine, while showcasing contemporary Van Cleef & Arpels' craftsmanship.
Bulgari Sapphire Necklace:
One of my favorite pieces right now is this Bulgari necklace. As a gemologist, it's always a pleasure to see such a beautifully matched collection of untreated Ceylon sapphires in so many natural colors, and the 25-carat no-heat yellow sapphire drop is an unforgettable focal point.
