We are thrilled to announce the 2024 cohort of the Emerging Jewelers Accelerator Program (EJAP), a collaborative effort by the Black in Jewelry Coalition (BIJC) and Jewelers of America (JA)!
These talented individuals have been selected to participate in a series of interactive workshops designed to provide them with invaluable knowledge on building and maintaining successful retail jewelry businesses.
Let’s meet the 2024 EJAP Retailer Cohort:
🌟 Patricia Carruth | Your Personal Jeweler, Royal Oak, MI
🌟 Cloyette Harris-Stoute | Twin Elegance Jewelry, St. Albans, NY
🌟 Soojin Kim | Suu Atelier, Los Angeles, CA
🌟 Madeline & Karen Ormaza | Armonia Jewelry, Lawrence, MA
🌟 Ashley Perryman | Jewelry Lady, Indianapolis, IN
During the eight-month program, these five individuals will have the opportunity to learn from established subject-matter experts (SMEs) in the industry. The SMEs will lead engaging workshops, providing our winners with deeper insights into various aspects of the jewelry business.
After the conclusion of the workshops, our participants will showcase their newfound knowledge through a presentation, demonstrating how they plan to apply the educational content to their businesses. And here’s the exciting part: one of the participants will receive a well-deserved grant of $5,000, while the remaining four will be awarded $1,250 each!
But the support doesn’t end there. Even after completing the EJAP program, our winners will remain connected through periodic check-in calls, quarterly workshops, and exclusive invitations to industry events.
Congratulations once again to Patricia, Cloyette, Soojin, Madeline, Karen, and Ashley! We can’t wait to witness your continued success in the jewelry industry! ✨
