I've been working on and off in the jewelry industry for the last twenty years-- in Athens, Greece, Boston and New York. First I trained as a bench jeweler, then worked as a designer for both fine and costume jewelry manufacturers. Subsequently I went back to school to study decorative arts history. I concentrated on silver and jewelry, wrote my masters thesis on a jewelry topic, and spent a year

at the Metropolitan Museum of Art. My last employer was a renowned antique silver and jewelry dealer in Manhattan. I started working with seed beads in the late 1990s, experimenting and learning stitches. My projects were wildly ambitious, and I would make about one evening bag a year with off-loom stitches. I decided to turn my attention to jewelry in 2009, and I've found it very exciting! Inspiration comes from historic pattern design and from both modern and antique jewelry. I experiment quite a bit with techniques and stitches; I love challenging myself and my abilities! I tend to start my designs with Delica beads; these are a particular kind of cylindrical Japanese seed bead. They come in hundreds of colors and finishes, and they fit beautifully together. I also use other types of seed beads (sizes 8 to 15), square beads, shell, glass, pearls and semi-precious stones. You can never have enough beads! I also adore buckles and buttons and use them whenever possible. I hope you enjoy looking at my work as much as I enjoy making it--and making jewelry with tiny beads is one of my greatest pleasures. If this isn't Seed Bead Bliss, I don't know what is!

I’m working on it! This pattern has more steps than any I’ve done so far. And it will only be a pattern, not a kit, so you can choose your own colors! 😄

I’m excited to share and see what you make—and to introduce the 3D construction to you 🤩

I bit off a little more than I could chew by trying to this pattern and the next bracelet pattern at the same time. So I’m focusing on just this one, and hopefully the bracelet will be ready for end of next month.

I’m getting close, so stay tuned! Who is ready???

I’m also working on the Prism Pod pattern! Lots of development going on in the studio this week 🤓This will be an introduction to 3D open shapes.

Who wants to try this one? 🙋‍♀️

⚠️Creative problem solving in process⚠️
The work of a designer, and part of my beading genius ☺️I’m figuring out the easiest way to construct this bracelet for a pattern.
There are a few ways to approach the construction, and there are fiddly bits. I don’t mind fiddly bits, but I want to minimize them for YOU if you are sewing this bracelet together 🤓😜

Oh, and these are the 3 color ways I’m considering 🤔 got a fave?
Stay tuned!!

OK! Finished this bracelet and thinking about making it into a pattern and maybe kit. Starts with a beaded D-ring, evolves into a textured stitched bracelet with two sizes of beads, and finishes with a beaded toggle. Pe**te stitch knowledge necessary and I can guide you through the rest ☺️

I’m going to work on another colorway also but would love some feedback!

Would you be interested in a pattern and possible kit??? Let me know!!

In celebration of epic friendships, I want to wish my friend Brynn Brynn Myers a very Happy Birthday! 🎉🥳💓

We were instantly attracted to each other over 40 years ago 💕and our friendship has had many ups and downs 🎢 We’ve been close, we’ve been distant, we’ve driven each other crazy, we’ve laughed, we’ve helped each other through tough times 💓 a one-of-kind camaraderie for sure 💖

Luckily our love and friendship have remained, and I am so grateful to have Brynn in my life🩷🩷 Cheers 🥂 to epic friendships, love you Brynn 💖💖💖

First I wanted to show you one necklace, then I realized I have several items that look nice with my blouse, then I just started having fun with the jewelry! 😜💓😍 I don’t do that very often!
Which are your faves?? 💚
