Edwardian 1.25 Carat Old European Diamond Vintage Engagement Ring, Circa 1910

Edwardian vintage engagement ring, dating to the early 1910s, centered with a 1.25 carat old European cut diamond, surrounded by a halo of smaller old cut diamonds, set within a platinum bezel and a 14k yellow gold shank. The circular cluster composition is characteristic of the Edwardian period and emphasizes lightness. The center diamond is elevated above the finger on an open gallery, allowing light to pass through the setting while reducing overall visual mass. Delicate scroll pierced under gallery work, while the shoulders taper gently. A well preserved example of early 20th-century design.

A 1960’s Tiffany & Co. wedding set including a classic six-prong platinum solitaire showcasing a .98 carat transitional cut diamond, predecessor to the modern round brilliant, with bright F-G color and VVS2 clarity inscribed within “Alicia, love, Gordon Feb. 22, 1963” along side a matching wedding band inscribed with “G.W.C. and M.A.T. Oct. 5, 1963”.

Ring sizes: The solitaire is currently a 5.25 and band is a 5.5 (they can both be minimally resized however resizing may impact the current inscriptions).

Astrid 3.03 centers an antique old European cut diamond with a pillowy square shape, chunky faceting, and an open culet. Set in elegant claw prongs with a softly tapered band, its low profile makes a diamond of this size surprisingly wearable. Cut by hand over a century ago, old cut diamonds of this size are increasingly scarce and no two are exactly alike. So while Astrid is classic and beautifully simple, each one is truly one of a kind.

Jewelry is meant to be worn. Emeralds while yes not as strong as diamonds are strong enough to wear daily (with care). This Tiffany & Co. Art Deco dream is set with a 1.53 carat Colombian emerald accented with old mine and French cut diamonds.
