A little more than a year ago, Tina came in for an interview. She had no retail experience and had arrived in America from Russia just a few months earlier. But within minutes, she won us over with her earnestness, her genuine hunger to learn, and how much she wanted to be part of our team.

And learn she did, with such tenacity and joy that she got better every single day. Think about what that takes: a new country, a new language, a new culture, New Yorkers…and doing it all on her own, without family or friends nearby. Tina didn’t just persevere. She flourished.

Today, she’s an integral part of INAYA. She’s woven into so many of our projects and has truly become our right hand. If you’ve met Tina, you already know: to know her is to love her. If you haven’t, come say hello! She’s a magician at finding just the right piece, and her soft, gentle, deeply professional approach is exactly the experience we hope everyone feels when they walk in.

We like to say every gemstone finds its person. We’re so grateful Tina found us.

Our grandmother, Babushka Maya, left this beautiful life at 95.

She was our matriarch in the truest sense. Life did not give her easy circumstances, and she met every one of them with grace. She took what she had and made the best of it, again and again.

She came to this country, into the unknown, and was one of the first in our family to find work here. The rest of us followed a path she had already begun.

She loved our grandfather madly. They were beshert, meant for each other, and we spent our whole lives watching that love. It showed us what true, unwavering love looks like, and it taught us never to settle for less. Not in love, and not in life. Because of her, we always go after what we deserve.

She raised wonderful children and good grandchildren, and she lived to meet her great-grandchildren.

So much of who we are began with her.

Thank you, Babushka Maya. We carry you with us always. 🤍

There was a time when Bleecker Street was just a dream.

We hauled our jewelry from street fairs to craft markets, building something before it had a name, an address, or a clear path forward. Yet one dream never changed: Bleecker Street. It was the beacon that guided us—a real store, a real home, a place where our work could breathe and find the people it was meant for.

When we opened our doors on the corner of 10th and Bleecker, we felt it: we had arrived. Excited, scared, and wide open to everything.

What we couldn’t have known was what would happen next.

Over the last nineteen years, this little store has become so much more than a place to sell jewelry. It has witnessed friendships, milestones, celebrations, new beginnings, and chapters of life we never could have imagined.

We’ve watched gemstones find their people. We’ve shared stories, laughter, tears, and countless conversations. Some of you have been with us since the very beginning. Others found us only recently. Every one of you has become part of this story.

This space has been our classroom, our creative playground, our gathering place, and our home.

Nineteen years later, our hearts are full.

Thank you for walking through that door, for supporting two sisters and a dream, and for helping us build a community far more beautiful than anything we could have imagined.
