Forty years ago, Jacob Arabo began at a bench in Manhattan’s diamond district, spending years learning the craft, working with stones that had already been cut and defined.
But as he spent his days studying diamonds in his hands, he started to see something else. How light moved through them. Where it stopped. Where it could go further.
That’s where the idea began. Not to follow a cut. To create one.
That way of thinking, being inspired by the impossible, became the foundation of everything that followed. It led him to build Jacob & Co., to push watchmaking and jewelry into places they hadn’t gone before.
Decades later he is honoring his dream of creating his own diamond cut, a shape the industry has never seen before.
The Angel Cut. A patented diamond cut developed entirely in-house, with 37 precisely engineered facets, each one placed with intention. A number that carries its own meaning, marking 37 years of marriage with his wife, Angela, who has been there through every step of the journey.
After all this time, it comes back to where it started. A bench. A diamond. And an idea that refused to let go.
