My multiple series of fine art and production jewelry designs are heavily influenced by natural forms and textures. Normally, I have a definitive design in mind but I work in a very organic way. Rather than forcefully imposing my design onto the Metal, I work with the Materials and all

ow the forms to develop naturally during the creation process. Metal has a surprisingly organic nature to it and I find that working in this style allows my pieces to take on a unique, natural appearance. The presence of hammer marks, file marks, and heavy patinas are important elements that demonstrate the mark of the maker, giving each piece its own individual identity and a feeling of timelessness.

We've been hammering away since late December to bring you a gorgeous selection. We have focused on creating pieces for the Reliquary Collection, feat. hand processed domestic cat, rat, fox, and European starling bones. And I managed to smith some show stoppers from the Shield Maiden Collection, including the Hessonite Garnet Marquise rings shown at the end of the slide show.
