To all the families who came out Saturday, THANK YOU! 🖤❤️ Thank you for spending part of your day with us, for your patience, your kindness, and for allowing us to share something we all love so much with you!

It was so exciting to see so many new faces at the track and, even better, to see those smiles as the kids got behind the wheel! 🏎️ Watching them experience the excitement of quarter midget racing for the first time is exactly why we love doing what we do. We hope your drivers had as much fun as we did! ❤️

At Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club, we're more than just a race track. We're a family, a community, and a group of people who share a love for this sport. 🏁🏎️ MOCK RACE AT BQMRC! 🏎️🏁

Ever wonder what happens during a quarter midget race? 👀 We gave our potential drivers a chance to see it all in action with a Junior Mock Race! 🏎️❤️🖤

Our future flock drivers got to learn what happens on race day, including:

🚩 What happens when there's a wreck
🛠️ How a car gets pulled into the pits
🏁 How a driver gets sent back out on the track
🔄 How to line up double file
🏆 And how to take that checkered flag all the way around the track!

It's all about learning the basics, building confidence, and helping our future drivers feel comfortable before they hit the track themselves! ❤️🖤

Unfortunately, Mother Nature isn’t on our side, and we will be CANCELING RACING TOMORROW due to the weather. 🌧️💔

We know our Bird Gang was ready to hit the track, and we hate having to make this call! 🐦‍⬛🏁

Driver Experience Schedule🏁

10:00–11:00 AM — Sign-ins & car sizing
11:15 AM — Opening ceremonies & mock race
11:30AM–1:00 PM — First Session
1:00–3:00 PM — Second Session
3:00–5:00 PM — Third Session

🚨 Important Reminders🚨

• Parents will push their child for the first lap with the car OFF. Volunteers are available if needed.
• Once your child can follow the racing line, the car will be turned on and parents will exit the track.
• Parents pushing on track MUST wear fluorescent colors. Vests will be available.
• Participants must wear closed-toe shoes with heel coverage. Sneakers are best—no Crocs or boots.
• Avoid bulky clothing, hoods, and zippers under the racing suit.
• Long hair must be tied back and tucked into the helmet; braids are recommended.
• Older/taller drivers: If we cannot safely fit your child in a car, registration will be refunded.

Our Last Chance Qualifier & Feature Winners Race is THIS SUNDAY! 💪🏼🔥

We’re kicking off the day TWO HOURS earlier than a normal Sunday, so make sure you’re ready to go!

⏰ SCHEDULE
▶️ Sign-Ins: 8:00–9:00 AM
• There will be ONE sign-in for the entire day.
• Drivers MUST be present to sign in.

▶️Driver Handler Meeting: 9:45 AM

▶️Heats (10 laps): 10:00 AM
•90 Second warm up before each heat
•10 minute time limit

🔵 LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER

The Last Chance Qualifier is for BQMRC members who have NOT won a feature this season.

Visitors may participate ONLY if they have raced at BQMRC 3 or more times this season.

This portion of the day will follow a complete race-day format, including:
🏁 Warm ups
🏁 Heats
🏁 Features

The entire event will simply begin two hours earlier than a normal Sunday.

🔴 LAST CHANCE QUALIFIER WINNERS
Winners of the Last Chance Qualifier will advance and start at the rear of the Feature Winners portion of the event.

🏆 FEATURE WINNERS EVENT

Feature winners will take on the next challenge!

This event will include:
▶️ 90 second warm ups for all participants
▶️ Straight into the feature
▶️ Extra-distance lap lengths based on each class
▶️ No time limit

🚨 ROOKIE CLASS 🚨

There will be NO Rookie Class Feature Winners Race.

Rookies will run a normal heat and feature, following the regular race-day format during the Last Chance Qualifier portion of the event.

Hi Parents! ❤️

We are SO excited to welcome everyone to Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club’s Driver Experience Day this Saturday, October 10th! 🏎️💨

We can’t wait to introduce your kids to the world of quarter midget racing and, most importantly, see those BIG smiles when they get behind the wheel! 🤩

Here’s everything you need to know for Saturday:

📋 SIGN-IN: 10:00–11:00 AM
Please arrive during this time to get checked in.

📝 ONLINE REGISTRATION
If you haven’t already, please complete the Ride N Drive registration. When prompted, select Blackbird Quarter Midget Race Club and enter 10/10 for the event.

📄 BIRTH CERTIFICATE REQUIRED
Please bring your child’s birth certificate to sign-in. A copy or picture on your phone is perfectly fine!

🏎️ GETTING THE PERFECT FIT
During sign-in, we’ll measure and size each driver to make sure they are properly fitted for their car and safety gear.

🇺🇸 OPENING CEREMONY — 11:15 AM
Once sign-ins are complete, we’ll kick things off with an opening ceremony before getting our future drivers ready for their experience!

🏁 SUITING UP & HITTING THE TRACK
Beginning around 11:15 AM, we’ll start getting the kids dressed, fitted with their gear, and into the cars.

We’ll do our very best to work around everyone’s requested time frames, but please remember that specific times cannot be guaranteed. Our priority is making sure every child gets the time, attention, and instruction they need for a safe, fun, and memorable experience. ❤️
