A mint green cat’s eye kornerupine from Tanzania. There’s a lot going on here!

1. Mint green kornerupine is only found in East Africa
2. The green comes from its vanadium content
3. Rarely the rough is silky enough to produce a cats eye, usually under a carat
4. It’s fluorescent under long wave UV and shortwave UV

A Rhodonite from Minas Gerais, Brazil! Beautiful red color and highly transparent compared to other locales. This piece would be too risky to facet, much better as a display piece. Also check out the pleochroism in front of the computer screen, cool right?

This was one of the best pieces of color change garnet that I had the pleasure of handling. The clarity was insane and the saturation and color change was perfect. Finding a 100% color change it’s hard but when it’s good, it’s really really good. This stone is gone, just some eye candy 🍭

Here’s a fun one, this a scapolite from Madagascar! Please see the second video to show where it needs to be sawed, there are some small specs in the crystal but at over 100 carats, there is plenty to work with!
I always love handling fluorescent material so if you have some UV lights this will be a fun one
