Hey, everyone! I've been working on some changes for 2024. All good things and creativity.
Let's start with a new piece. This polymer clay pendant shows a beautiful 1770s map of historic Wickford. It hands on a sterling silver chain and, gang, she GLOWS!!

Living your truth

I’ve always had a love for maps, especially old ones, and I had been creating one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces using gemstones and beads for years. They were pretty and my customers loved them and were loyal, but something wasn’t quite right.

It was an old map of Rhode Island made just before 1776, hung on a coworker’s wall, that inspired me. I wanted it. It yelled HOME to me. I’ve never been particularly adamant about proclaiming my roots before - went away to school and dropped my accent faster than you could say, “three all the way” - but something about it appealed to me. Perhaps it was the heaviness of history, the Old English spelling of familiar places and names. Maybe it was just because I love old things and history. Either way, it started a fire in me.

Rhode Islanders are a proud bunch. We love our local gimmicks, notable places, and food we can only get here. So why not celebrate what makes us unique? I’ve combined LOVE of HOME with my love for old maps. It’s evolved from there, but has remained true to the original intent:

An Intentional Life is about living YOUR TRUTH. Celebrate YOU. Celebrate your roots - where you became YOU. Celebrate your life in the NOW, or remember a special time from your past. It’s all about following your heart, or your gut (whichever speaks loudest to you), and wearing reminders to every day, live An Intentional Life.
