Four years ago I had an empty room in my office and I was contemplating what to do with it. I tossed the idea of permanent jewelry around but was nervous I was too late to the game or wouldn’t have the capacity to keep up with it along with all the other things I had piling on my plate. Within the same week, and a local gal that I had never met (I can now call a friend 😊) mentioned permanent jewelry to me. I just took those two consecutive instances as a push, said a prayer and made some purchases. I bought a micro welder, an argon gas tank, some chains and set up a little desk in my newly renovated spare room to start zapping. ⚡️

June 2022 I had my first permanent jewelry appointments and by September of that year , I needed another set of hands. I had known for several years, so she immediately popped in my head as someone to ask for help. She made her own jewelry. She was familiar with the tools. She’s fun, always smiling, a positive addition to the shop! She was just what I needed and right on time! 💖

What has come of all this over the last four years is more than I could have imagined. It’s MUCH more than permanent jewelry! Our doors have opened to people we would have never met had we not added this collection to our shop experience. We have made so many new friends and kept in touch with recurring clients who we get to catch up with each year while they’re visiting and add to their stack.⛓️

We have celebrated all the things! We have shared the tears, the excitement, the grieving, the pregnancies, the fresh starts, the recommendations and advice, the wins and the losses.🎉

Everyone who has taken a seat with us has given us something in return. At the end of the day, we are all human. We have our own stories, our own paths and if we can’t see how connected we truly are, then we are missing a really beautiful piece to the puzzle of life. Thank you for sharing bits of your lives with us and being a part of ours! You always have a seat here and we’ll make sure you leave a little more sparkly ! ✨

With any custom job, sometimes the design has to change once I get to the bench and start problem solving. When we are using repurposed pieces or gemstones that are a unique shape and size, it’s a lot like remodeling an old house. Mixing old components with new doesn’t always work seamlessly. The main character of this piece was the raw tanzanite that my client purchased on a trip to Kenya. The faceted emerald was a loose stone that we had removed from a previous project and it gave the stone a good contrast in color and cut. We combined her Tiffany’s necklace and bracelet to make a longer necklace and the heft of the chain was just what this show stopping pendant needed. I was nervous about this one, but love the way it turned out. 💜✨💚
