🚨 CUSTOM ORDER POLICY UPDATE - EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY 🚨

I hate that I even have to make this change, but moving forward, all custom orders must be paid in full upfront. 🤍

Payment can be made through:
✨ My website - www.two-blessed.com
✨ Invoice - I can create this for you
✨ Venmo - (Staci Himes)

✨ Check at the time of meetup/drop-off when you bring your inclusions

If there is something you’d like that isn’t currently listed on my website, just send me a message! I’m more than happy to create an invoice for you.

The reason for this change is simply that I have had too many completed custom orders sitting here unpaid and unclaimed, and unfortunately, I can’t continue to have materials, time, and finished pieces tied up indefinitely.

Custom pieces take a lot of time, materials, and love to create, and requiring payment upfront will help me keep things organized and ensure I can continue giving every order the attention it deserves. 🥰

This policy applies to all new custom orders moving forward.

Okay, okay… I KNOW. It’s September. 😂 But if you’ve been thinking about gifting a Two Blessed keepsake for Christmas, now is the time to get on my list! 🤍

You guys know I’d LOVE to make magic for everyone right up until Christmas, but sentimental pieces take time - and I refuse to rush the process so much that your keepsake doesn’t get the love and attention it deserves. 🥹

So here are the VERY IMPORTANT Christmas deadlines: 👇🏻

🎁 ORDER MUST BE PLACED AND PAID FOR BY: September 14th
📦 INCLUSIONS MUST BE RECEIVED BY: September 22nd

These deadlines are for CHRISTMAS ORDERS to be received before Christmas. ❤️
Why am I setting the deadline so early?
Because I want to leave myself enough time for the actual creation process, supplier delays, shipping delays (because we all know how that goes 😅), and any unexpected hiccups that may pop up along the way.

And honestly? I’d also really love to have a little time to slow down and enjoy Christmas with my own family instead of still frantically making keepsakes on December 23rd. 😂❤️

And PLEASE don't think your keepsake has to be a traditional breastmilk piece! At Two Blessed, I work with SO many different meaningful inclusions, including:

Serious business-owner question… how long do you think is reasonable to hold onto an order that hasn't been paid for and the customer has been unavailable/unresponsive? 👀

I have over $1,500 worth of completed orders currently sitting here waiting to be paid for and picked up or shipped. I also have another order that's $500+ that has been an on-and-off situation with communication but still unpaid.

I have always tried to be understanding and kind. If someone needs a little extra time, I'm willing to work with them. I've even gotten into the habit of making orders before receiving payment because I want to trust my customers and make the process easier for them.

But realistically… how long is too long?

Some of these orders have now been sitting here for over A YEAR. 😳

At this point, they're taking up storage space that I desperately need, and I'm also out that amount of money in materials and labor.

I never want to be the business owner who makes someone feel bad because life happened. I genuinely understand that things come up. ❤️

But I also have to remember that this is my business and this is my income. I can't indefinitely store completed orders or float hundreds of dollars in materials for someone who isn't communicating with me.

So I'm thinking it's time to establish an actual policy instead of continuing to handle these situations case-by-case.

For those of you who own businesses - what is your abandoned/unpaid order policy? Obviously I am working with precious and irreplaceable items, but shouldn't that mean they want them back?

And customers… what do you think is a reasonable amount of time for me to hold items unpaid?

Because apparently I need to stop being a softie and Crack down on some boundaries. 😂
