Calling all artists! Want to be a part of the 9th St Fair? Free booth space available. If you want to come down and make some art, sell some art, or just enjoy the festivities. As I am sure many of you are already aware, the art mart is closing down for a bit. We are moving out of our current location and hope to reopen within the next couple of years in a new location. The DMDC will continue to pursue more venues for art in Mt. Vernon. Artists will need to pick up their work by April 27th. We will not be having regular business hours for the rest of April, so contact us through facebook or call to set up a time to pick up your work. Thanks for the continued support, and all the volunteer time that went into this project.

Looking for some local artists who may be interested in setting up a "booth" for a few Fridays over the summer. Free space, you make 100% of your sales. First event will be Friday, May 16th and is geared towards Mother's Day. Jewelry artists, floral painters, even florists, anyone who may be interested pm with any questions.!!!

TGIF! The art mart will be open all weekend! 12-6 Friday and Saturday and Sunday 1-4. Tomorrow is the first flea market of the season at the armory, stop in and see us on your way, and catch one of your last chances to support local artists at the UpStart Art Mart!

It sure is a beautiful picture perfect day outside. The art mart has almost made a whole year run.... Just to toot our horn we have showcased over 80 artists, and made those 80 artists almost $5000, just with volunteer man power!!!! Never to late to get involved!! We are not accepting new work at this time, but if you are interested in being a part of the downtown art movement shoot us a personal message and you can hop on board!
