Bray finished up his swim season this past week in Orlando, FL swimming in the Southern Zones for Team Kentucky. It was awesome for him to get to see what the best looks like, & can’t wait for him to take that knowledge back into training. This was his “move up” year, being a 13 swimming in the 13-14 age group, that move up year is tough, but he held his own all season. Finishes as CKSDC Conference Champion, several Top 8 finishes at State, and some great swims for Zones, cutting down times. Thanks to all his great coaches & teammates along the way! Already looking forward to next season!!

The 2025 CKSDC Conference Champion in the 13-14yr age group is from Mt Sterling, KY, Bray Carroll (13). Back to back championships!! Won 🥇 in his FREESTYLE, BACKSTROKE, & BUTTERFLY! Thanks to his Mt Sterling Gators & Swimchester Sailfish coaches, teammates, & families that push him to be better & cheer him on! Mount Sterling Gators 🐊

Congrats to Bray for making TEAM KENTUCKY’s Swim Team!! They will compete against other States in the Southern Zones Championships In Orlando, FL July 30-Aug 2. These swimmers have an INSANE/CRAZY dedication to their sport! His day consists of getting up at 5:30am for practice, some days are two-a-days, & going to bed at 10:00pm to rest & do it all again the next day. Very proud of his work ethic, & to see his hard work pay off!

What a fun ride it’s been coaching this McNabb 8th grade group the past two years. These guys are great student-athletes! As coaches, we held them to a higher standard, and they met that standard in the classroom & on the court! This group will finish with a 30-2 record, and an overall 62-3 the past 2 seasons. (All 3 losses to a talented Woodford Co team) Back to Back Regular-Season Bluegrass Conference Champions, & back to back Bluegrass Conference Tournament Runner-Up. It’s been a fun ride, & I’m excited to now sit back and be their #1 fan & watch their high school basketball journey!!

From Mt. Sterling, KY, your 2024 Central KY Swim & Dive Conference 12U Champion, BRAY CARROLL!!!!! This kid gets up and goes to swim practice every morning from 6:45am-9:00am. I’m so very proud of him & his hard work!! I’m so thankful for all of his great coaches that motivate & push him to be better!! I’m so thankful to all his Mt Sterling GATOR teammates & families for cheering him on!! And lastly, I’m thankful he has such great Swimchester Sailfish parents & teammates!! These kids train together everyday, and are extremely close!! The sportsmanship & encouragement these kids display for each other is second to none!! HARD WORK PAYS OFF!!! 🥇

Bray had a great 11-12 yr old State Tournament this weekend in Swim, as did his team. Individually, he medaled in 11 of 12 events he was in, and has qualified to go to Sectionals next weekend in North Carolina. As a team, they finished #2 overall in the State. Congrats Swimchester Sailfish on a great State Tourney!!
