I’m working on a ridiculously fun new project involving the upcycling of old Golden Books. So far this image is my favorite because that is my EXACT face when I drink coffee that isn’t Northbound Coffee Roasters ☕️ ❤️ If you have any old Golden Books laying around, even if they are filled with scribbles and torn pages…please reach out! There is so much joy these guys can spread and that’s my goal this Christmas!!!

My linocut prints and cards have made their way to Springfield, Oregon! 🖤 You can now find them at Kania Edelberg 🤗

A huge thank you to Kania for welcoming my work into her beautiful shop. I’m so happy to see these hand-carved, hand-printed pieces tucked in among all the wonderfully curated things she has gathered there.

I have to say… we look pretty good together. 🥰

If you’re in the Springfield area, stop in and take a peek this weekend!

One leg or two? Is less more for jeans or is MORE more? 🤔 For now I’m just going to keep stamping but I’d love to hear from you! And is there something you’d like to see carved next? I have a request for a hummingbird, and this morning I did spot my first hummingbird visitor at my new feeder. So that’s on the list!

A little behind-the-scenes glimpse into the world of Turquoise Ferns today. I’ve been hard at work transforming a room in my home into a dedicated print studio—giving me more space to spread out, experiment, and make a proper mess. And already, it’s changing both my productivity and my joy in the process.

Today I put the new space to work printing a few fresh designs on hand-selected, upcycled clothing, and I’m excited to share this first little peek at what’s coming.

There is something especially satisfying about giving both a room and a piece of clothing a new purpose.

And a heartfelt thank you to my lovely friends and family, who have graciously accepted that visiting me now comes with an air mattress. Art requires sacrifice, apparently. 🤍

Early this (beautiful) morning I sat on a blanket on the lawn under the trees waiting to hear Dr. Temple Grandin speak at my local college, surrounded by friends, and I knew it would be an experience that will stay with me.

I’m deeply grateful for her message of inclusivity and her reminder of the indispensable value that neurodivergent minds bring to the world. Her story was meaningful to me during the early period of my self-acceptance which coincided with a major life transition for me. Even without my life being uprooted at the same time as my neurotype discovery, processing was going to be a complicated journey. I’m overwhelmed by the clarity that comes from hearing the stories of others and recognizing how deeply I resonate with them. What initially I saw as evidence of my differences is now balanced by similarities…but with an entirely different group of wonderful people.

There is so much wisdom in those moments of clarity for me. It continues to affirm just how right and aligned my life feels now that I’ve chosen a quieter path centered around creativity. It’s also clear that communication and reflection is an ever evolving part of my understanding and growth.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me—with friendship, encouragement, and by supporting my work. You have helped show me that this beautiful life that I was so afraid was too good to be true is in fact entirely possible and that I may even be deserving of it, and I won’t take it for granted. Sending love to everyone who might often be stuck in their own heads too!

These are not polished images, but I was having too much fun printing tote bags today and wanted to share. ❤️
