My husband Mike and my Dad were as close as father and son could be. Their relationship was a true blessing to us all, and Mike was deeply destroyed by his death.

5 years ago we spent MDW weekend in the hospital holding on to my Dad’s hand and shreds of hope he wouldn’t leave us. He died on June 1st.

Shattered and heartbroken, Mike did everything to hold all the pieces of me together, right after and throughout this long journey of unchartered waves of grief.

I see signs all the time that my Dad is with me. I see them because I look for them, want to see them and my heart needs to feel him. The best sign is my daily reminder that he is still here because I see him with and in my husband, loving him and guiding him always.

This weekend is hard, but 5 years later we strive each day to do what he cannot… to live🤍.

And I wish the same for all of you.
