Orrin Bergey, son of the local fire chief, was called upon in high school to demonstrate how to slide down the fire escape. Unfortunately, he broke his hip during the attempt. While recovering, Orrin struck up a conversation with a traveling watchmaker. Taking the manโ€™s career advice to heart, he enrolled in watchmakerโ€™s college in Elgin, Illinois. 75 years later, his family is still continuing the tradition. It must be in their genes! We had fun with this beautiful transformation! Our customer brought in her ring on the top. She loved it but kept losing stones. We decided to remake the ring with nice solid channels and bezels to make sure her diamonds were secure. She loves the new look and so do we!
