Last weekend marked a win for Smoke-N-Ash. We kicked off the spring season with quite a bit of progress, conserving the land with tree plantings that will aid in the mast crop load in the mountains and successfully completed vital repairs to the wood shed roof. Our plots are now revitalized by the timely spring care. A huge appreciation to all who participated in our inaugural work party of the year. Here’s to the rest of the summer!

As we wrap up another extraordinary bear season at Smoke-N-Ash, we're thrilled to celebrate an outstanding turnout that delivered results! Thanks to everyone who joined us this year, sharing in the camaraderie and creating lifelong memories and stories to share. Friday was a day filled with good friends and exceptional food. Our annual Bear Season BBQ exceeded expectations once again, and we were happy to welcome new faces and old, including first-time hunters. We're eager to see what happens for years to come. Please enjoy these snapshots, and we wish everyone at camp the very best of luck for deer season.

We made significant strides at camp during our productive work weekend, with six members pitching in to tackle key tasks. After one more weekend of focused effort, we'll reap the rewards of our hard work. Our accomplishments included maintaining food plots through mowing and oversight, clearing brush to revive Apple and young Chesnut trees, applying a protective coating to the shed, and processing winter wood. We also enjoyed encounters with some friendly mountain locals.

Urge Pennsylvania lawmakers to pass Sunday hunting legislation

Members of the Pennsylvania hunting and fishing community can help ensure the removal of a longstanding prohibition on Sunday hunting by encouraging elected officials to vote YES on Senate Bill 67.

Allowing Sunday hunting provides hunters increased opportunities to have successful seasons, helps wildlife managers meet management objectives, and brings rural economic benefits.

Busy Saturday at camp for our second work party of the year. The guys were able to finish the shed, started filling the wood shed with firewood and finished the backstop at our shooting range.
