Another weekend at Smoke-N-Ash and we put roughly 1.25 acres in the dirt. One of our own fired up the tractor to help out early which let us get to work —plowed it, pulled all the rocks out, disced it down, and got a late crop planted.
That’s hunting camp. It’s not just about sitting in a stand when the season opens. It’s the sweat-soaked shirts, dust in your face, and hours spent working ground when nobody else sees it.
You want a better hunt? Build a better camp.
While the work was done two members were make the smoke happen at camp. Good food. Cold drinks. Good people. No bu****it. Just a crew that knows how to work hard and enjoy the hell out of it when the job is done.
One more work weekend.
Then we let the fields grow, let the woods do their thing, and start waiting on that first cold morning when everything comes together.
Until then, we’ll keep working.
