Hand-blown cabochon glass from Ireland, set against the warmth of 18k gold-plated metal—soft, luminous, and made to be noticed.

The beautiful thing about owning the jewelry business is getting to see people wearing my creations!

I'm starting to get back into it, friends. Had some major set backs and then managed to eat something that made me sick (I won't go there, I am just now out of stomach pain after 19 hours of it and proned to whine!)

A cuff should know how to make an entrance. ✧

And **Saint Laurent** certainly understands the assignment.

Their extraordinary sculptural cuff—**18k gold plate over sterling silver, accented with crystal gems and offered at $1,232**—is pure liquid-gold drama. Bold curves, mirror-like polish, and that unmistakable confidence that turns a bracelet into an object of design.

Naturally, I fell a little in love with it.

So I took that inspiration back to the Larkspur Edit workbench.

My interpretation begins with **hand-moulded brass**, shaped into sweeping architectural curves and finished in **18k gold plate**. I added a durable spring crafted from **gold-filled wire**, allowing the cuff to open more comfortably while keeping the hardware beautifully integrated into the design.

Sculptural. Polished. Dramatic.

And very, very wearable.

Some flowers deserve more than a season. ✧

One of my favorite designers, Hillary Jackson Designs, creates extraordinary preserved-flower jewelry, and this Real Blue Hydrangea Floral Cluster Necklace & Pin stopped me in my tracks. A real hydrangea, preserved and transformed into wearable art—romantic, sculptural, and offered at $350.

That idea stayed with me.

For my Larkspur Edit interpretation, I went into my own garden and chose a purple rose at the absolute height of its bloom, plucked during peak blooming hours while it was at its freshest. Using centuries-old enamelling and preservation techniques, I preserved the bloom for all eternity, then gilded it by hand with 24k gold leaf.

I paired it with a sculptural arrangement of roses and leaves in rhodium plate over .925 sterling silver, with gilded detailing throughout.

And because one mood is never quite enough—the second preserved purple rose, despite its gloriously blue appearance, detaches, allowing the wearer to change the entire character of the piece. Available for $33.

This is exactly what this series is about:

Admiring extraordinary design.
Learning from it.
Then translating that inspiration through my own hands, materials, techniques, and point of view.

Somewhere between **cocktail hour and midnight**, jewelry stopped behaving. ✧

Angela Caputi’s extraordinary multi-strand work has that kind of presence—bold, sculptural, unapologetic. The sort of piece that doesn’t enter a room quietly.

I took that inspiration and translated it through Larkspur Edit.

Both necklaces are built from **glass, Swarovski crystal, lampwork seed beads, and vintage seed beads rescued from a 1950s dress that was destined for the trash**—because some things are simply too beautiful to disappear.

One stays deliciously tangled and sculptural.
The other adds **hand-forged, 18k gold-plated metal rings**, finished with a smaller gold-plated ring set with **faceted desert-glass crystal pavé**.

Same devotion to material.
Same obsession with detail.
A little mid-century drama brought back for another night out.

Alexis Bittar has long been one of my design heroes—his use of **hand-polished Lucite, sculptural form, and luminous gold-plated details** is unmistakable.

Inspired by that language, I created two Larkspur Edit interpretations using the same caliber of materials and the same devotion to shaping, polishing, finish, and detail—simply translated into something far more within reach.

The double-crescent Lucite necklace: **$35**

Not imitation. Interpretation.

🐝✨ **Well… today was interesting.**

I spent part of the day working at a slight disadvantage after getting into a quarrel with a few wasps who apparently decided that the outdoor desk I like to use for soldering belonged to *them*.

**Four stings. Four different fingers.**

They won the first round. 😏

It put me down for a few hours—and my fingers are still making their displeasure known—but there was work to be done.

Tonight, I finished the sculptural foundation of one of the most complicated pieces in these collections: **layers of delicate filigree leaves, thick richly gilded leaves, gold-plated butterflies, flowers, and stones still waiting to be set.** Before the night is over, the flowers will be soldered into place and the stones set.

This one, fittingly, will be completed in the early hours.

And no… **I am not showing you that one yet.** 😏

Instead, here’s a little glimpse of something else taking shape on the workbench: pendants of **white marble, black obsidian, and river stones in shades of black, gray, and warm brown**, finished with silver and gold details.

Some carry silver-plated sterling medallions with a beautifully lively tarnish; others are accented in **18k gold over sterling silver**. The large silver leaf is exactly that—silver—and the gold bails are **10k gold filigree leaves, shaped to each stone, cold-soldered and reinforced using a traditional jewelry-pasting technique once used to help fine-jewelry bails endure.**

A little old-world technique. A little raw stone. A little Larkspur Edit. ✧

Tomorrow, I tackle photography and begin the catalog for **all three collections** as I prepare for the website launch—officially aiming for **September 1st**, though truthfully, it may land somewhere in that first week.

I cannot wait to finally share it all with you—and with whoever else may find their way here.
