I want to sincerely thank everyone who reached out with concern for my health after I was transported by ambulance to Guthrie Hospital. I experienced a severe reaction that led to anaphylaxis—I was losing consciousness and eventually unable to breathe.

I think it would be fun to do one post per month on what we think is the most recent exciting/interesting thing to coming into the shop. This month we want to highlight this beautiful 1895 Gorham sterling silver hand mirror! The detail of the repousse on this mirror is stunning! Repousse is an ancient metalworking technique where a malleable metal is hammered from the reverse side to create raised, three-dimensional relief designs on the front. Yes, this one has some wear and tear, but not bad for being over 131 years old!

Another custom job in the books!
The customer wanted a oval cabochon pink tourmaline stone in one of my personal designs. I started with one of my wax patterns which we send to a casting company to cast in 18k yellow gold. Then we sourced a beautiful AAA quality pink tourmaline that I bezel set into the mounting and finished off by polishing the excess gold to create this stunning one of a kind ring!
