Thought I’d introduce myself again for any new followers here… and give a quick overview of my business journey! It’s 25 years in business this summer!!!
The beginning of my career started on my junior year in college, studying in Florence, Italy. I learned basic silversmithing, and separately alabaster and marble carving for sculpture. Both of those classes grabbed me in a different way, and lit a fire!
Flash forward to after graduation, a short stint apprenticing in a woodworking shop, and finally deciding to settle on jewelry as a career. I moved to VT (for the mountains and the creative economy) and poured all the money from waiting tables, and successive jobs, into my budding business. I discovered wax carving as a way to join the sculpture and jewelry worlds I loved, and landed my first custom ring commissions.
25 years, a marriage, two kids, 3 dogs, and over 500 custom jewelry commissions later I purchased a long-standing jewelry store in Montpelier and have leveled up again!
