A small but mighty piece of Victorian symbolism. 🐍♦️

This Victorian Russian Ouroboros snake brooch depicts a serpent coiled and biting its own tail—an ancient symbol of eternity, infinity, renewal, and the continuous cycle of life. In Victorian jewelry, snakes also became powerful symbols of eternal love and devotion, famously popularized after Prince Albert presented Queen Victoria with a snake engagement ring.

At the center of it all is one of the most sought-after gems in the world: a GIA-certified RED Burma ruby with no indications of heat treatment.

Nearly 2,000 years of history in one incredible necklace. 🏛️✨

This substantial vintage necklace is crafted in solid 14k yellow gold and weighs an impressive 67.89 grams. At its center sits an authentic Ancient Roman bronze coin of Emperor Tiberius, accented by two natural deep-red cabochon rubies.

Tiberius was the second Roman emperor, succeeding Augustus and ruling from AD 14–37. Coins from his reign include bronze asses struck at Rome featuring his laureate portrait; examples from the later part of his reign measure approximately 26–27mm, closely matching this coin’s 26.6mm diameter.

The nearly 2,000-year-old bronze coin retains its wonderful ancient patina, beautifully contrasted against the warm yellow gold mounting and rich ruby cabochons.

This 2.57ct Mahenge spinel is GIA certified as Red with Tanzanian origin and is 100% eye clean. The cushion cut is beautifully executed, allowing the stone to explode with life from every angle.

We built this custom ring around the spinel using an 18k yellow gold basket and a solid platinum mounting. Flanking the center are two GIA-certified Old Mine Brilliant cut diamonds totaling 1.01ctw, graded J color and VVS1–VS2 clarity.
